is GETTING IN THE SHAPE OF YOUR LIFE A GOOD THING?

OF COURSE IT IS!! BUT THERE IS A LIMIT...

What is the harsh reality of getting super shredded for the average person? Honestly? It's a boring existence. I warn a lot of people about chasing the forbidden fruit of ripped up abs and a body fat level that is barely attainable never mind maintainable.

I get it, you've worked hard & you've completed a great challenge. Your pictures are amazing & you feel amazing when everyone on Facebook gives you a pat on the back... For a week. Then, reality sinks in - was it worth it? Can I maintain it? How do I maintain it? What are my goals now?

What happens in 6 months time when you have kept up your training & worked hard to stay in good shape but you hate the way you look because you 'only' have a 4 pack now from that 2-3% extra body fat. Everyone has body image problems but people who have been shredded in the past probably have it worse from experience.

So instead of chasing those 6 pack abs that probably will never come (statically thinking). lets focus of how many sessions per week you can maintain for the rest of your life. Build habits in your nutrition & day to day that get you closer to your goals without it affecting your social life too much. Some point in your journey you are going to have to practice acceptance in the way you look. No you aren't 'perfect' but nobody is. I'm sorry to say it, but even the person in the gym who you want to look like doesn't like the way they look either. So lets get stronger! a little fitter & enjoy life as much as you can.
